Favicon (pronounced fav-eye-con) is short for ‘Favorites Icon’. Maybe you’ve noticed the tiny kao-ani which appears in the list of you favourites. It’s very simple to make one.

1. The size of the pixel must be 16×16 pixels. For instance, when you want to make Oopsy Daisy you open a new file in 16×16 pixels and start to pixel. If you don’t have a program to make icons with you can use this online logo editor
   
2. You have to name it favicon.ico and copy it into the root directory – the main directory that holds your HTML pages.
   
3. Don’t forget to upload the icon to your website !!
