When I was studying to become a primary school teacher we had a course about stamps. Yep, this school had all sorts of brilliant courses to choose from such as yoga, singing and something with stuffed toys. I nearly laughed my head of during some of these lessons, much to the delight of the teachers… The highlight of the stamp course was a stamp-discussion, this involved passing a paper around and putting your stamp -made out of a freaking potato- on it. Needless to say that I lost my interest in stamps after this experience.
Recently though I’ve been following Memi the Rainbow and she handmakes the cutest stamps. They do bring a smile to my face.
Officially this is a lama, but it reminds me so much of an Alpaca
Ingela P Arrhenius -who makes cute retro illustrations- also designed stamps. At this moment the stamps are still prototypes, but eventually they will be sold at PSikhouvanjou which is a Dutch store (lucky me).
There’s something else I’d like to share with you. In the Netherlands there’s a very nice magazine about crafting and mindfulness called Flow. They’ve published a free iPad edition, with articles about craft blogs, paper cutting and Japanese paper arts.
