Cuddles and Rage is a mixed webcomic made by a husband and wife team who like food a lot. I especially enjoy the dioramas with cute clay sculpts.

Kawaii Not is a four panel comic, which has been around since 2005 and features everyday cute objects in funny situations.

My Milk Toof is an adorable webcomic with two teeth -named ickle and lardy- who experience tiny adventures in a big world. It has been created by Inhae Renee, to kill the dullness she was experiencing in her job. That’s time well spent

Another comic you might enjoy is Everyday Cute, nowadays mostly known for Pusheen the cat.

Next to mobile emoticons, there’s also some merchandise from Varietysum on the market, like a cute doll and a diary. The offical website is varietysum.com and you can also find Sum on Facebook.

1. Go to Settings > General > Keyboard
2. Click on Keyboards > Add New Keyboard… and choose Japanese (Romaji) from the list
3. When you’re typing, click on the globe symbol on your keyboard to select Japanese
4. Click on the 123 symbol key
5. Now you’ll see a symbol key like this: ^_^
6. Click on it and the select the emoticon of your likings!
7. To return to typing in your own language, click on the globe again. Just repeat step 3-6 whenever you want to insert a Japanese emoticon.

You can compare it to having a huge hangover, without the fun part It feels like someone’s hitting the back of my eye (usually the left one) with a hammer, while my body is being run over by a truck. I’m sharing this not to complain, but in the hopes that some of you might find a little comfort in this post.

Luckily my migraine is doable up to a certain point. I’m not having classic symptoms like throwing up, but I usually do feel nauseated at the beginning. Since I’m self employed it’s easy to work first thing in the morning. I can get some work done until the pain becomes unbearable early in the afternoon. Than I’ll take half a tablet of 50mg Sumatriptan. Usually this will numb the pain for about 6-7 hours. However this medicine also leaves me feeling a bit spaced out .  The next day I’ll also take half a tablet, but I make sure not to use more than 1 or if necessary 1½ tablets during the three day attack. I believe that taking a higher amount of pills will trigger another attack later that month.

Here are some tips, that I’ve used over the 10+ years that work best for me. I hope it might help someone else as well

• Take your time to relax and exercise -like walking- each day.
• Make sure you drink enough fluids. Roughly about 8 glasses per day, preferably water or tea.
• When you feel a migraine coming on (for instance by feeling hungry, yawning etc.) try slamming a Red Bull or other high caffeinated drink. In my case this only works if the migraine is not hormonal.
• If you do have an attack, try to take it slow. I know it can be frustrating, but some bed rest might be necessary. Sometimes I’ll take my cat or iPhone along, as not to feel lonely.
• I find that chewing on something hard, like an apple or plastic straw, helps to temporarily alleviate the pain.
• Ask someone to massage your shoulders, if they tend to tighten up.
• If you take birth control pills try to find out if it’s causing more frequent attacks. When I came off Microgynon first the symptoms worsened, but after a month I noticed that my migraine attacks became less frequent and less painful. I had better results while being on Yaz. But every woman reacts different to various anticonceptives, so it’s trial and error.
• Last but not least: reduce your intake of painkillers or triptan medicines. Read more…

Neko-Sushi is an extremely unusual life-form consisting of a cat on top of a portion of sushi rice.

Although several references have come down to us through history from various researchers and witnesses, their existence is still shrouded in mystery and actual sightings remain rare.

There are several academics who have devoted their lives to the study of  these creatures. According to a number of these, Neko-Sushi make use of gaps in space to come to us from an alternate dimension. Beyond these “gaps” lies the world of the Neko-Sushi in which, it is recently understood, lies the true identity of the cats that dwell with us here in the human dimension.

Crafting the bunny jars is still on my to-do list, I’m thinking of making these jars with retro figurines from Care bears or My Little Pony   All kind of figurines would do, but you can also buy Sleich animals from your toy shop. Roughen the jam lids a bit up with sand paper to make the spray paint stick better.

How to install:
1. Click on the desired download link, the picture of your choice will appear.

Recently though I’ve been following Memi the Rainbow and she handmakes the cutest stamps. They do bring a smile to my face.

Officially this is a lama, but it reminds me so much of an Alpaca

Ingela P Arrhenius -who makes cute retro illustrations- also designed stamps. At this moment the stamps are still prototypes, but eventually they will be sold at PSikhouvanjou which is a Dutch store (lucky me).

There’s something else I’d like to share with you. In the Netherlands there’s a very nice magazine about crafting and mindfulness called Flow. They’ve published a free iPad edition, with articles about craft blogs, paper cutting and Japanese paper arts.

To my surprise I noticed that temporary tattoos are back! They’re better this time around
